In the simplest case you can play chords without aftertouch and a lead with, but this could be done with two keyboards and regular aftertouch. Polyphonic aftertouch is an expressive performance option that has historically been limited to a few high-end synthesizers. It is a feature that can be used to good effect but it requires practise. Waldorf Music today introduced the Iridium Keyboard, a keyboard version of their latest synth, featuring a new 49-key FATAR TP/8SK semi-weighted polyphonic aftertouch pressure-providing keyboard. Hopefully it will make playing the Nord much more pleasant since my biggest gripe with my NS2SW is the keybed. Polyphonic aftertouch isn't a magic gateway to playing amazing music. I will gladly tell you how good it turns out when I get it.

No one has ever tried it, it seems similar to the VAX 77, but to what I understood is that it is much improved and has cost in mind.
POLYPHONIC AFTERTOUCH MOD
My biggest concern is that there is no way of knowing how good the keybed is. polyphonic aftertouch mod wheels and rudimentary playback control 9 robust sliders, like original Akai MPK serie 9 encoders, 9 programmable switches with light indication optional but not mandatory: 12 drum pads, with toggle mode and light indication of playback i.e. The website states that for an 8 octave version, aproximate time is 4 and a half hours and that the only thing that you need is a screwdriver (preferably electric). I bought the one in the link, a black 8 octave version.

I'd like to know how easy or hard is to build it and how much time will it take to have it ready to play. Do you guys know if Polyphonic aftertough is supported at all by any Nord Keyboard (specially the Nord Stage 2)? I just bought the VAX MIDI keyboard controller (though it will ship until April), and one of its coolest features is polyphonic aftertouch.
